Breakfast & Brunch

Oh, Hibachi Chicken! This food is very important to me (and my stomach). I remember my first time at a Japanese steakhouse. The hot grills made a lot of noise, and the chef’s amazing knife skills were on display. The chicken was so tender and juicy, and the garlic butter and sesame seeds made it even better. I was in love with it from the first bite. I had to make it again at home, and I can’t wait to show you my version!

I love Hibachi Chicken because it tastes great and is easy to make. You can easily change it by adding your favorite vegetables or changing the proteins. This dish is great for any occasion, whether you’re having a dinner party or just treating yourself to something tasty at home.

What goes into Hibachi Chicken?

The chicken breast is the main event! For a lean, tender option, I usually use boneless, skinless chicken breasts. You can use thighs if you want them to be a little juicier.

Soy Sauce: This gives the dish a strong umami flavor. I like low-sodium soy sauce better because it adds flavor without being too salty.

Sesame oil adds a lovely nutty flavor. For that real taste, I love a few drops of toasted sesame oil.

Fresh minced garlic makes everything taste better. The smell is so strong that you can’t help but want to eat it.

Butter: Because butter makes everything taste better! A little bit makes the chicken taste richer and more decadent.

Bell peppers, zucchini, and onions are my favorite vegetables because they look good and are crunchy. But really, just use what you have on hand!

Is it healthy to eat hibachi chicken?

Of course! Hibachi chicken can be a healthy meal choice because it is full of protein and other nutrients.

Chicken breast is low in fat, high in protein, and lean. Great for building and fixing tissues, especially for people who work out a lot!

Vegetables: Fill them up! They add vitamins, minerals, and fiber, which makes your food even more filling and healthy.

If you’re watching how much sodium you eat, though, be careful with the soy sauce and think about using a low-sodium version.

List of Ingredients

– 1 pound of chicken breast without bones or skin, cut into pieces that are easy to eat
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (low-sodium is best)
– 1 tablespoon of oil from sesame seeds
– 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
– 2 tablespoons of butter without salt
– 1 bell pepper, cut into slices (any color)
– One sliced zucchini
– 1 onion, cut into pieces
– Add salt and pepper to taste. – Optional: sesame seeds for decoration.
– For four people

How do you make hibachi chicken?

1. First, soak the chicken in a marinade. Put the chicken pieces, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic in a bowl and mix them together. Toss it until it’s fully covered, then let it sit for 15 to 30 minutes. You can let it sit for a few hours if you can wait longer. It will only get better!

2. Put a large skillet or wok on the stove over medium-high heat. Put in a tablespoon of butter. Add the marinated chicken after it has melted and started to bubble.

3. Cook the chicken in a pan for 5 to 7 minutes, turning it every so often, until it is golden brown and cooked all the way through. To get that nice sear, make sure the heat stays high.

4. Put the sliced onion, bell pepper, and zucchini into the skillet. Sauté for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft but still crunchy.

5. Add the last tablespoon of butter and let it melt and coat the chicken and vegetables perfectly. Add salt and pepper to taste.

6. Serve hot, and if you want, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Fun Ideas and Ways to Serve

Serve this Hibachi Chicken over steamed rice or quinoa to make it a full meal! And for an extra touch, why not make your own dipping sauce, like teriyaki or yum yum sauce?

Make it a Hibachi Chicken Bowl for a fun twist! Put the rice on the bottom, then the sautéed chicken and veggies, and then your favorite toppings, like avocado or a sunny-side-up egg.

Lastly, if you have any leftovers (which I doubt you do), they make a great filling for a wrap or sandwich!

I really hope you try this great Hibachi Chicken recipe. I can’t wait for you to taste it! It’s so much fun to recreate that great restaurant experience in your own dining room. I’d love to hear what you think or any changes you made. Enjoy cooking!
